How it works

How MyDataPrice Works

MyDataPrice helps companies find out whether their historical data could have commercial value, without sharing the data itself. Here is exactly what happens at each stage, what we do and what we do not do.

1. You describe your data

The questionnaire takes a few minutes. It asks about your industry, the type of data you hold, its historical coverage and approximate volume, whether it contains personal or sensitive information, and whether you control the rights to it. No files are uploaded and no system access is requested.

2. You receive a preliminary assessment

Based on your answers, you see a transparent readiness view: promising, needs further review, or limited at this stage. It explains the factors that support commercial interest, the considerations that need attention, and any information that is missing. It does not include a price or a valuation figure.

3. You decide whether to explore buyer interest

If the assessment looks promising, you can request introductions to qualified data buyers or brokerage partners. Nothing is shared with any partner unless you explicitly give permission, and that permission is separate from completing the assessment.

What MyDataPrice does not do

  • We do not collect, store, host or process your datasets.
  • We are not a marketplace and do not resell data.
  • We do not provide legal advice or guaranteed valuations.
  • We do not share your details with partners without your permission.

How MyDataPrice is paid

The assessment is free. If an introduction leads to a completed commercial agreement, MyDataPrice may receive a referral commission from the partner involved. You are under no obligation to proceed with any introduction.
